Worker Placement Game


  • Theme:  Players are merchants in the bazaar district of Istanbul trading and transporting goods throughout the city.
  • Complexity of Rules:  Medium/Low
  • Setup Time: Medium
  • Replay Value: High - The variable setup of the game board tiles helps keep the game fresh.
  • Direct Conflict: None
  • Game Mechanics:  This is a worker placement pickup and deliver game.  Each game board tile represents a different district in the city each with its own action.  The player's merchant token sits on top of several assistant tokens.  Each turn the merchant may move 1-2 tiles to drop off or pick up an assistant and take the action on the tile.
  • Turn Summary:
    1. Movement - Move merchant token and assistants 1-2 tiles to pick up an assistant or drop one off. If unable to pick up or drop off turn ends.
    2. Pay any other merchants on the tile 2 Lira. If you do not or cannot pay then turn ends.
    3. Take action on tile
  • End Game:  Game ends when a player acquires 5 rubies (6 in 2-player game) and current round ends.
  • Victory:  The player with the most rubies wins.
