How It Plays

  • Game Mechanics:  This is a cooperative, action point game in which each player takes on the role of a firefighter with a unique ability.  Players take turns using their actions to move through a house extinguishing flames while searching for unconscious people and pets in need of saving.
  • Turn Summery:
    1. Take Action - Spend 4 action points on one or more of the following actions:
      • Move to a space without a fire - 1AP
      • Move to a space with a fire - 2AP
      • Carry a victim to an open space or one with smoke - 2AP
      • Open/Close a door - Flip a door marker in your space - 1AP
      • Extinguish - Use your gear to fight the fire in the firefighter's space or adjacent space.  Remove a smoke marker - 1AP, flip a fire marker to smoke - 1 AP, remove a fire marker from the board - 2AP
      • Chop - place a damage marker on a wall segment in your space - 2AP
    2. Advance Fire - Roll the dice and place smoke on the space.  If the space already has smoke on it - flip it to fire.  If the smoke is adjacent to fire - flip it to fire.  If it is placed on existing fire an explosion occurs.
    3. Replenish POI markers - there should always be 3 POI (victim) markers on the board.  If any need to be added roll the dice to determine space to place them.  If the space has a fire or smoke token on it remove the token.
  • End Game/Victory:  Game ends if the building collapses.  This happens when all 24 damage markers have been placed on the board.  Any remaining victims in the building are lost.  If the players lose 4 victims the players lose.  If the players rescue 7 victims the players win.
